What does our logo mean?
Karearea, the New Zealand falcon, soars high in the sky and has exceptional eyesight. It can see great distances. It symbolises our goal of reaching our highest aspirations.
The letter ‘A’ stands for Aorangi school. It also represents our maunga, Mount Ngongotaha. Aorangi means ‘piercing the sky’ and symbolises our goal of rising to great heights to achieve our highest aspirations.
The three koru represent our head, heart and hands.
Head – the belief we have in ourselves to achieve highly.
Heart – the values we hold that guide our achievements.
Hand – the skills we develop that enable us to achieve.
